Our well-established, multi-depot client is on the lookout for a Hire Desk Controller to manage rental operations at their Newport depot. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in a company that values its people and offers real career growth.

The Role

• Acting as the first point of contact for hire inquiries, advising customers and providing accurate quotes.
• Allocating equipment & coordinating logistics to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Managing rental contracts & compliance, keeping everything running smoothly.
• Organising transport & liaising with operators for seamless dispatch.
• Working closely with the maintenance team to ensure equipment is always hire-ready.
• Delivering outstanding customer service, solving problems quickly and efficiently.
  Assisting with billing, invoicing & financial records to keep things in check.
• Maintaining accurate records of all transactions for full transparency.

The Person

• Experience in a similar hire desk, rental, or logistics role
• Excellent organisational & multitasking skills with the ability to juggle priorities
• Communication & customer service skills
• A keen eye for detail & a problem-solving mindset
• Strong IT skills , comfortable using scheduling & admin software
